Rock Your Roots: Walk for Reconciliation

Fri, June 21, 2024
National Indigenous Peoples Day

10am - 11:45am Victoria Park

Join us at 10am in Victoria Park and “Rock Your Roots.” We walk to honour Residential School Survivors and demonstrate our commitment to responding to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action. Wear your cultural regalia or an ORANGE SHIRT. We begin walking at 10:30am. The Walk for Reconciliation follows a path close to the river, and artists perform along the route (approx 1 hour).

Anyone with mobility issues can ride in a golf cart. Please reserve your spots by emailing walkforreconciliation@gmail.com. The walk ends at Reconciliation Circle in Victoria Park.
